Fighting for Spartanburg County
I’m proud to serve on Spartanburg County Council, where I’ve worked every day to be a responsible voice for taxpayers, families, and local businesses. My focus has always been simple: protect your hard-earned dollars, invest wisely in our future, and make sure Spartanburg County remains a place where families can thrive.
Spartanburg is home. My husband and I were both born and raised here, and today we’re raising our family in Roebuck. With young children at home, I understand what’s at stake when it comes to the decisions we make as a county — from infrastructure and public safety to economic growth and quality of life. District 6 isn’t just where I serve — it’s where we’re building our future.
As a Dorman High School graduate and Clemson University alum, I’ve spent my life rooted in this community. I’ve seen Spartanburg grow, and I believe we can manage that growth responsibly — protecting what makes our community special while creating new opportunities for the next generation.
In my professional life, I’m a local accountant and small business owner at Smith and Coker LLC in downtown Spartanburg. I work directly with families and small businesses every day, helping them navigate financial challenges and plan for the future. During some of the toughest economic periods, I stepped up to help dozens of local businesses — often working pro bono — to secure relief funding and keep their doors open. That same commitment to accountability and fiscal responsibility guides my work on County Council.
Public service isn’t always easy. I’ve taken tough votes and stood behind them. But I’ll never apologize for working to bring jobs and investment to Spartanburg County. What matters is that we learn from it, demand stronger safeguards, and ensure future projects are handled with even greater transparency and accountability. That’s exactly the approach I’ve taken — and will continue to take.
I’m also committed to preserving the character and history of our community. I have served as Treasurer of the Spartanburg County Historical Association and the Glenn Springs Preservation Society, working to protect the places and stories that define who we are.
My faith and family are at the center of everything I do. I believe in hard work, honesty, and standing up for what’s right — even when it’s not easy. That’s the kind of leadership I’ve brought to County Council, and it’s the kind of leadership I’ll continue to provide for the people of District 6.
Together, we can keep Spartanburg County moving ahead — with responsible growth, strong values, and a clear focus on the future.
